ASTEME students expanded their understanding of science and engineering with a field trip to NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. They explored how scientists and engineers design spacecraft, build rovers, and analyze data to study our solar system. This experience connected directly to their science classes, where students learned about the basic needs of living things and the conditions required to support life. At JPL, they discovered how scientists search for those same signs of life beyond Earth—studying planets, moons, and distant worlds to understand where life might exist in our universe.
