ASTEME Academy is a great place for TK–5 kids to grow, learn, and feel valued every day. From the beginning, our youngest students are welcomed into an infectious culture of enthusiasm, inclusivity, and playfulness. In our mixed-age classrooms, we differentiate by skill and readiness, not just age. 

Our daily Advisory provides caring guidance along with playful activities, helping students build social-emotional skills—such as taking turns, expressing feelings, and solving problems together. These experiences foster confidence and a strong sense of community.

Curiosity and kindness stay at the center of every classroom, where teachers encourage teamwork and independence. Core subjects include Math, Science, Language Arts and Social Studies–all taught with hands-on, creative approaches. Games, projects, and stories help kids see Math and Science in real-life terms, while Language Arts invite children to fall in love with reading and practice expressing their own ideas. Social studies extends real-world connections further. 

Although subjects are distinct, our teaching philosophy encourages students to find links between them, with teachers collaborating to create continuity. Above all, our environment ensures that students feel safe to explore, ask questions, and grow into curious, caring learners.
